These terms apply to the closed beta of OMBZ. By creating an account, you accept them on behalf of the business you represent.
Who we are and what the beta is
OMBZ is an SEO monitoring service provided by Server.Biz BV. During the closed beta, Server.Biz BV makes OMBZ available to business customers, by invitation only. In these terms, "we" means Server.Biz BV and "you" means the business that uses OMBZ.

For the beta, only these terms apply. Your own general terms and conditions do not.
Business customers only
OMBZ is meant for businesses, not for consumers. By accepting these terms, you confirm that you act for a business established in the European Union that has a VAT number, and that you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf. If it turns out that you use OMBZ as a consumer, we may end your access straight away.
No fees during the beta
Using OMBZ during the beta is free of charge.
Rank tracking and backlinks are paid features. They are not part of the beta until billing starts. Before that happens, we tell you by email what they cost and how billing works, and you can stop using OMBZ before anything is charged.
A beta, provided as is
OMBZ is still being built. We provide the beta as it is, without promises about availability, speed or the accuracy of the data. Data from Google, DataForSEO and our crawler can be incomplete or arrive late. Features can change, be added or stop during the beta. Do not rely on OMBZ alone for important decisions.
The beta is a non-production version of OMBZ for testing and evaluation, for a limited period: it ends for your business when you move to the paid service or when the beta ends. Because the beta is such a version, the obligations of Chapter VI of the EU Data Act (Regulation (EU) 2023/2854, Articles 23 to 31) on switching between data processing services do not apply to it (Article 31(2)). The beta ends for everyone no later than 31 December 2027. You can still ask us for an export of your data at any time until your data is deleted.
What we ask of you
When you use OMBZ, you:
- add only websites that you control or that you are allowed by their owner to monitor;
- complete the ownership verification OMBZ asks for each website, through Search Console, a DNS record or a file on the website;
- keep your accounts secure: every user must set up two-factor authentication, and passwords and recovery codes are never shared;
- do not misuse OMBZ or our crawler, OmbzBot: no overloading websites, no getting around access restrictions, and no attempts to reach other customers' data or to break the security of OMBZ.
You are responsible for what happens under your accounts and for the websites and Google accounts you connect. If a third party holds us liable because you added a website or connected a Google account without being entitled to, you compensate us for the damage and reasonable costs this causes us, including reasonable legal costs. We tell you about such a claim promptly and do not settle it without consulting you.
If you do not keep to these rules, we can remove a website or block your access to the beta straight away.
Your data
To provide OMBZ, we process:
- account data: the names and email addresses of your users, password hashes, two-factor secrets, and company details such as your VAT number;
- data about the websites you connect: statistics from Google Search Console and Google Analytics, crawl results from OmbzBot, PageSpeed measurements and, once those features are available to you, rankings and backlinks from DataForSEO;
- security logs of sign-ins and important actions, including IP addresses.
For this we use our own servers, which are housed in a data centre of We Dare BV in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We Dare BV provides the space, power and network connection; it does not manage our servers and has no logical access to them or to your data, so it is not our processor. We send email for OMBZ from our own mail server. We also use Google, whose APIs supply the data of your connected Google account and the PageSpeed measurements, and, once those features are available to you, DataForSEO OÜ in Estonia. Each receives only what it needs for its part of the service. Before any other party receives your data, we add it to our list of sub-processors, as described in our data processing agreement. The current list is on our sub-processors page.
We use your data only to provide OMBZ to you. We do not sell it and do not use it for advertising.
Website data can contain personal data, for example a search query with someone's name. For that data your business is the controller and we are your processor. Our data processing agreement applies to that processing and is part of these terms.
When you ask us to, or when the beta ends for you without a move to the paid service, we delete your account data and website data within 30 days. Backups are kept for at most 14 days, so copies in backups are gone at most 14 days after that. The security log is kept for 12 months. We keep a record of which versions of these terms and of the data processing agreement were accepted, by whom and when, for 5 years after your workspace ends, and other data longer only where the law requires it.
How we handle personal data is described in more detail in our privacy policy.
Rights to the software and your data
OMBZ and its software remain ours. Your data remains yours: you allow us to use it only to provide OMBZ to you. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely and without payment.
Liability
Because the beta is free and provided as is, our liability is limited as follows. We are not liable for indirect damage. By indirect damage we mean lost profit, lost revenue, missed savings, damage from business interruption, loss or corruption of data, damage to reputation, and damage caused by decisions based on data in OMBZ. Where we are liable for other damage, our total liability for all events together during the beta is limited to EUR 500. These limits do not apply to damage caused by intent or deliberate recklessness of our management or managerial staff. A claim for damages lapses if you do not report it to us in writing within 12 months after you discovered the damage.
Ending the beta
You can stop using OMBZ at any time by emailing us. We can end the beta, for you or for everyone, with at least 30 days' notice by email. We can end it straight away, or suspend your access, if you break these terms, if this is needed for security or to comply with the law, or if a supplier we depend on, such as Google or DataForSEO, stops its service to us. Until your data is deleted, you can ask us for an export of your data. Afterwards, your data is deleted as described under "Your data".
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms during the beta. We let you know by email, at least 30 days before a change that is to your disadvantage takes effect, unless the law requires a faster change. You need to accept a new version before you can keep using OMBZ. If you do not accept it, you can stop as described above. Every version stays available at its own address.
Applicable law
Dutch law applies to these terms and to the use of OMBZ. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply. Disputes are brought exclusively before the competent court in the district where we have our registered office (Bergschenhoek). These terms exist in Dutch and in English. If the two versions differ, the Dutch version prevails.
Accepting and saving these terms
You accept these terms with a checkbox when you create your account. We store which version you accepted and when, and send you an email with a link to that version. You can save or print this page at any time.
